Many paths, one shared purpose

Your team is committed to creating a treatment plan built for your unique needs—whether that’s IVF, IUI, or one of our many other service options.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) involves retrieving eggs from the ovaries and fertilizing them in a lab with sperm from a partner or donor to create embryos. An embryo is then placed back into a uterus with the goal of pregnancy.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is a treatment that involves inserting sperm directly into the uterus during the most fertile time in your cycle. This increases the chance that the sperm will fertilize the egg and result in pregnancy.

Miscarriage can be extremely emotionally challenging. Most people who experience pregnancy loss go on to have normal, healthy pregnancies. If you’ve experienced two or more miscarriages, treatment for recurrent pregnancy loss could help. San Diego Fertility Center is highly experienced in evaluating recurrent miscarriage and determining which treatment is best to prevent future losses.

Genetic testing with San Diego Fertility Center involves running tests on each embryo before implantation. This helps to increase the chances of a healthy pregnancy by reducing the risk of implanting an embryo with genetic abnormalities. This process can also decrease chances of miscarriage, which is often associated with chromosomal issues in the embryo.

Male infertility is an extremely common contributing factor to a couple’s inability to conceive. Infertility is a complex issue, and it’s just as important to test the male partner as it is to test the female partner. The first step is a semen analysis to determine sperm quality and quantity. From there, we can determine if there are further underlying issues and how to address them.

Egg freezing is a process in which eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and preserved for future use. You may choose to delay parenthood for any number of reasons, whether it’s professional goals, family medical history, or simply a desire to have a child later in life. Egg freezing can also be an incredible resource for those undergoing medical treatments that can impact fertility.

Using a donor egg is an option for anyone struggling with a diminished egg supply. This process involves fertilizing the donor egg via IVF then placing it into the uterus of the person carrying the pregnancy. Deciding on egg donation can be an emotionally complex step, and we are here to support you throughout your journey.

In surrogacy a fertilized embryo is implanted into a gestational carrier’s (also known as a surrogate) uterus to carry the pregnancy. The gestational carrier usually isn’t genetically related to the child. Surrogacy can be a path to parenthood for male couples, transgender people, and patients who are unable to carry a pregnancy.

San Diego Fertility Center works closely with a number of trusted surrogacy agencies and we’re here to help you through the surrogacy process from start to finish.

How it Works

New patients begin with a consultation with an expert San Diego Fertility Center doctor. You can visit one of our Southern California clinics, our New York City office, or schedule a virtual consultation. During this meeting you and your doctor will discuss your goals, fertility challenges, and the testing needed to move toward a diagnosis and next steps.

This in-person appointment at one of our Southern California locations will cover all diagnostics ordered by your doctor which may include bloodwork, ultrasound, and a semen analysis.

After your testing we will schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor. During this next appointment you’ll discuss the results and a potential diagnosis. After this, you and your doctor will work collaboratively on selecting a treatment plan that fits your unique needs.

Our financing team is here to ensure that fertility treatment is as accessible for you as possible. They will meet with you to discuss your insurance coverage and other affordable options if you do not have coverage.

Once your doctor has determined a treatment plan, our team of experts will lay out a schedule and coordinate every aspect of your care. With San Diego Fertility Center you will always have a supportive network behind you, pushing toward your success.

You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Every patient has different family-building goals, and what’s right for one may not be right for another. We often recommend fertility testing if you have been trying to conceive for 12 months without success, or 6 months if you are over the age of 35.

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the treatment options we offer and is a great choice for a wide variety of patients. IVF might be right for you if you’re experiencing ovulation issues, tubal issues, male infertility, fibroids, genetic disorders, or endometriosis.

Yes! We offer comprehensive services for same-sex couples and transgender patients looking to grow their families, and are committed to offering compassionate and personalized care to all patients. We specialize in LGBTQ+ care and have built more same-sex families around the globe than any other fertility clinic.
